Description
BDK Vanille Caviar smells like a dark, intense and sophisticated vanilla, far removed from the usual sugary, bakery-style vanilla. It opens with the green, slightly tart freshness of blackcurrant bud, lifted by the aromatic spice of cardamom and calamus. As it develops, the fragrance becomes deeper and smoother: a creamy, velvety vanilla emerges, contrasted by a salty mineral accord that gives it a mysterious quality, reminiscent of warm skin touched by a delicate trace of salt.
The cocoa smells dry, dark and gently bitter rather than like sweet chocolate. Osmanthus adds a subtle apricot and suede-like nuance, while Peru balsam and labdanum create a warm, resinous and enveloping base. The final impression is of a luminous black vanilla—sensual, elegant and textured, with woody, balsamic and slightly animalic facets. It does not literally smell like caviar or the sea; it is a rich vanilla shaped by an unusual salty-mineral contrast.
